Guthrie Lady Jays Softball Camp for youth set for June 5

The Guthrie Lady Jays Softball Camp is set to kick off on June 5, 2024, offering a dynamic and engaging experience for young softball enthusiasts. The camp will take place at the Guthrie High School Softball Field, with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. and the camp running from 9 a.m. to noon.

The camp is open to girls from first through sixth grade, this event promises to be a highlight of the summer for aspiring athletes.

The camp aims to develop fundamental skills in fielding, throwing, hitting, and base running, led by the experienced high school and junior high coaching staff, along with former and current Lady Jays players. For those interested in specialized positions, pitching and catching instruction will be available upon request.

Participants will bring appropriate athletic clothing, cleats, a glove, a bat, a helmet, and catcher’s gear if applicable. This ensures they are fully prepared to take advantage of the hands-on training and drills designed to enhance their abilities on the field.

The camp costs $40 if prepaid, or $50 if paid on the day of the camp. Payments can be made via Venmo (@LadyJaysSoftball) or CashApp ($LadyJaysSoftball). Alternatively, checks can be mailed to the Guthrie Lady Jays Softball Booster Club at 5675 Highway 105, Guthrie, Oklahoma 73044.
