A Guthrie man and his passenger were injured in a single-car accident Saturday, June 18th, just before 6 p.m. on County Street 2950 near County Road 1550 in Grady County.
Troopers say James Thomas, 35, was southbound in a 1988 Ford Ranger pickup when he apparently lost control of the vehicle. The truck left the roadway to the right and rolled over a complete time.
Thomas and passenger Debra Diede, 28, were taken by medical helicopter to Oklahoma City where both were admitted in serious condition with several injuries.
Troopers say the cause of the collision was driving under the influence of alcohol. Neither driver nor passenger was wearing a seat belt.
She passed away this morning, she has been in ICU since the wreck and He only got a broken nose and a black eye. Also from what I was told the seat belt on the passenger side wasn’t working. As far as I know He hasn’t been picked up yet for her death.
I think it is nuts that this has been reported this way without the highway trooper completing his investagation. I hope when the report has been completed to have the questions about the wreck answered but until then maybe we should not wonder why he has not been picked up for her death!!!! I know for a fact the trooper called Shannon about 9 pm last night to ask about the wreck, I also know the impound lot released the truck before they investagation was done. I also know they have no idea who was driving the truck at time of the wreck. I an autopsy has been done on Debbie and that report has not been released yet either. So lets not trash someones name before the facts are in.
Oh my… Talk about the heartless. The last post was posted on what would have been my daughters 29th birthday. The only thing I know for a fact is that my daughter is dead and the rest is in Gods hands and his alone. Please have a heart and let her rest in peace..
Connie: I agree with you. But God is merciful, Debbie is with Him. About the guilty man: His conscience will haunt him. My advice for you: Stay strong! Denese and all those kids need you!
