A local children’s shelter has found a unique way to raise money while having fun.
The 2nd annual Rubber Duck Race will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Visitors can sponsor a duck in the race for $5.
When the ducks hit the water, visitors will watch patiently as they make their way towards the finish line.
The 1st place winner will receive $200, 2nd place will receive $100 and the 3rd place finisher will get $50.
The race will be held at Highland Park pool and will be followed by a fun fair for children between the ages of 2 and 12-years-old.
The proceeds will benefit the Maudie Hirschi Children’s Shelter.
