The Guthrie Board of Education has called for a special meeting for Friday, September 28 in Stillwater.
The meeting is set to begin at 9 a.m. inside Meridian Technology Center’s room A-101, located at 1312 S. Sangre Road in Stillwater.
The agenda calls for five items to be discussed. No action will be taken.
The board will discuss the following:
– discussions on accepted communication practices for Board of Education, district staff and patrons.
– discussion of district policies
– discussion of district administrative structure
– discussion of long-range planning process
– discussion on book “Schools Can Not Do It Alone”
The next regular scheduled board meeting is set for October 8th at 7 p.m.
It’s interesting that the school board can’t hold their meeting in Guthrie, considering the agenda. One would think they would want public input on district policies and long-range planning. The meeting should be required to be held within the district boundaries. Why not have it in Guymon?
