The Guthrie Lady Jays basketball team will be swapping their indoor gym shoes for some outdoor shoes and serve as carhops this Saturday at Sonic.
As part as a program fundraiser, the Lady Jays will be at the Sonic, located at I-35 and Highway 33, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 29 car hopping for tips and donations.
First-year head coach Pete Papahronis thanked the Brian, the Sonic manager, for allowing the girls the opportunity and looked forward to a busy day.
Busy may not be the best word to describe what the team may see on Saturday.
The Oklahoma State football team will entertain the Texas Longhorns Saturday evening for a Big XII marquee game and a large crowd is expected to be traveling north to Stillwater perhaps giving the Lady Jays all they can ask for.
Public is invited to help the basketball program.
