Guthrie Public Schools held their convocation on Friday morning inside the Guthrie Junior High as they prepare to begin the new school year on Aug. 20.
Supt. Dr. Mike Simpson and Executive Directors Doug Ogle and Carmen Walters spoke to teachers and administration.
The Guthrie High School band got everything going by performing on stage.
On Aug. 17 the Freshman Orientation will begin at 6 :30 p.m. inside Guthrie High School.
Elementary Meet the Teacher will be Aug. 18 from noon to 7 p.m. at the elementary schools. Teacher assignments will also be announced.
