They’re one of the most generous groups in Guthrie and they were at it again on Sunday evening.
The Guthrie Territorial Riders recently held a poker run for the ninth straight year have donated all of those proceeds to the annual General T.L. Daniels and Community Thanksgiving Dinner.
The group donated $900 to help fund the dinner set for Nov. 23 from 11 – 1 p.m. at the American Legion Building (located at 123 N 1st St) in downtown Guthrie.
“We feed everyone,” Evelyn Nephew said. Everyone, including Langston University and Job Corps students, who are away from home, as well as the general public.
Nephew added they will make deliveries this year if they’re given an address.
Along with the monetary donation, several members of the motorcycle association will help deliver and serve meals at the dinner.
They do it from their heart,” Nephew said.
A music benefit to help raise money is set for Nov. 18 at the First Baptist Church beginning at 6:30 p.m.
