HCPC offers $700 reward for information on abandoned kittens

Helping Community Paws and Claws Inc. (HCPC) is offering a $700 reward for any solid leads that result in an arrest regarding the abandonment of over 15 kittens in cages.

The abandoned kittens were discovered by staff from the nearby Free To Live Sanctuary at 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 20 near Western Ave. The staff had last been at the location until 9 p.m. the previous night, indicating that the kittens were left sometime during the intervening hours.

HCPC is urging residents to check their security cameras for any suspicious activity during that time frame. “This has got to stop,” stated Lisa New of HCPC, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to ending such cruel acts against animals.

Fortunately, Free To Live Sanctuary has taken in the kittens, and is now seeking donations to help care for them. Donations can be made at freetoliveok.org/donate.
