Guthrie News Page confirmed with Oklahoma Highway Patrol, that Oklahoma City police found Jarod Thomas Bierline Lane on the I-35 Service Road at 63rd Street.

Original Story

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol believes a wanted man is either on foot in the Guthrie area or possibly hitchhiking after his vehicle was found abandoned.

Jarod Thomas Bierline Lane (09-26-1992) is wanted and a suspect for a homicide and arson in Renton, Washington that occurred on Friday morning.

Renton Police assisted with a residential fire and found a 15-year-old female repeatedly stabbed, beaten and  left in the home when the fire was set.

Lane and the female victim had broken up two weeks ago. A temporary warrant has been established for Lane.

Lane’s green 2001 Mazda Protege was abandoned in Logan County on I-35 at mile marker 161 southbound. A note was left on the car that said, “gone for gas”.

He is listed as a white male, 5’9 and 155 pounds with brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a green baseball cap, dark jacket, blue jeans and athletic shoes.

OHP urges you not to pick up any hitchhikers and to call 9-1-1 or *55 if you spot him.
