The schedule makers did not do any favors for the Guthrie High School soccer teams in start the 2010 district play. Not to mention playing on the East side of the state in district three.
Both the Jays and Lady Jays opened district play on the road for the first two games before entertaining Booker T. Washington, Tuesday evening, in Guthrie for only the second home game for the Jays.
The Hornets and Lady Hornets both entered the game ranked No. 4 in Class 5A and did not hurt their ranking by collecting two wins over Guthrie.
The Lady Hornets shut out the Lady Jays 10-0 and the Hornets got by the Jays 4-1.
The Guthrie boys have dropped two games in a row and currently stand 5-4, but 1-2 in district play. The Lady Jays have now lost six in a row and are 2-7 overall and 0-3 in the district.
