Attorney General Scott Pruitt recently congratulated First Assistant Attorney General Rob Hudson on his selection as a special judge in Logan County.
“I have enjoyed my time with Rob in public service immensely, and thank him for his selfless service to the AG’s Office. This opportunity is a good one and will allow Rob to be closer to his farming operation in his hometown of Guthrie,” Pruitt said. “I wish him well and we honor him for his continued dedication to the people of Oklahoma.”
Hudson starts in Logan County on Nov. 1.
Before joining the Attorney General’s Office, Hudson served four terms as the district attorney and chief law enforcement officer for Payne and Logan counties. In 2000, he was honored as the state’s Outstanding District Attorney by the Oklahoma District Attorney’s Association where he served as president in 2000 and again in 2008-09.
Hudson graduated from Guthrie High School in 1975, and attended Oklahoma State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics and Accounting. He was named Outstanding Graduating Senior from the College of Agriculture at OSU and a Top 5 OSU Graduating Senior.
He received his Juris Doctorate in 1983 from the University of Oklahoma School of Law and was a member of the regional winning National Mock Trial team while at OU. Following graduation, he practiced law for 13 years in Guthrie.
Rob and his wife, Mary, of 31 years live in Guthrie and have five children and three grandchildren. The family also operates a cow-calf operation of about 100 cows.
Is he replacing Special District Judge Hert?
Yes he is. Judge Hert will be going to Payne County.
Okay so most likely Rob will have the schedule Judge Hert has now which is part time here and part time in Payne County.
