Oklahoma Christian senior center John Moon (Crescent, Okla./Crescent HS) poured in 44 points on 16-of-19 shooting. It was the second-best scoring performance in OC history, ranking behind only Moon’s 50-point performance (on 20-of-20 shooting) in a win over Oklahoma Panhandle State last season.
Along with his 84.2 percent shooting from the field on Saturday, Moon connected on 12 of 15 free throws (80 percent) in the 84-81 Eagles win.
The 44 points also tied for fifth on the Heartland Conference’s single-game list. Moon now has three of the top 10 entries on that chart. With his 44-point outing on Saturday, he moved into fourth place on the Heartland’s career scoring list with 1,745 points.
