The June sales tax collections for the City of Guthrie increased nearly 10 percent compared to the same time last year.
The City of Guthrie’s June 2018 sales tax receipt came in at $555,940.22, which is an increase of 8.8 percent, or $49,986.64, compared to June 2017.
For the fiscal year, the sales tax revenue is 10.94 percent higher, or $496,085, accumulatively than for the same nine month period of the last budget year.
Of the total collected in the nine months, the General Fund (three percent) has collected $4,023,919.58 and the Capital Improvement Fund (three-quarters percent) at $1,005,979.89.
The largest jump this fiscal year came in January with a 19.25 percent boost compared to a year ago. However, all nine months have seen an increase so far with the lowest increase coming in March (4.66 percent).
