Junior High doubles teams win Carl Albert tournament

The Guthrie Junior High tennis teams hit the courts at the Carl Albert doubles tournament this past week.

GJHS Tennis

Kiah Thomas and Faith Anderson battled the weather conditions to win the tourney.

Highlighting the tournament was Kiah Thomas and Faith Anderson winning the No. 1 doubles bracket and taking top place in No. 2 doubles was Bailey Cornwell and Teresa Avilla

In other doubles action, No. 3 doubles team of Lillie Goode and Bailey Beaver took fifth and the No. 4 team of Riley Martin and Kaylen Stayley placed fourth.

Others participating were Carley Redus, Loren Irwen, Reanna Turner and Kirsten Groom.

The boys were in action as well with No. 1 doubles team Trevor Welch and Hunter Swartzbaugh took finished seventh. No. 2 doubles Adam Baker and Tyler Musil took sixth, No. 3 doubles Pheonix Braswell and Wyatt Sarasua finished sixth place and the No. 4 doubles team of Seth Sarasua and AJ Tomlinson finished in eighth place..
