Kaitlyn Reed was named the 2016 Sophomore of the Year by the Guthrie Kiwanis Club. The announcement came Monday evening at the Board of Education meeting.

Kiwanis members Jerry Gammill and HC Patel handed out the honor in front of a packed board room.
Gammill says what separated Reed from the other 20 applicants was her community service.
She received a $250 and a plaque for her accomplishment.
