Langston, Oklahoma – Homecoming activities are underway. Events began on Sunday, October 9th, 2016 and will continue through Saturday, October 15th 2016. Prepare to join us for upcoming events, such as the President’s scholarship gala, parade, step show, battle of the bands, coronation, concert, and comedy show.

We are excited to announce that this year Langston University alumna, Mrs. Venora McKinney will serve as the grand marshal. She was chosen because she is an LU alumna who embodies exemplary leadership and dedication to her community.
She was recently awarded the fourth annual Legacy of Leaders National Alumni President of the Year award by the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame Foundation in recognition of her outstanding leadership.
McKinney will be leading the annual homecoming parade and kicking off the festivities for the day beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 15th. Immediately following the parade, be sure to catch the LU Marching Pride Band perform at the LU Battle of the Bands. The football game will kick off at 2 p.m. against Texas Wesleyan University. Join us for the fun filled festivities and support our team.
