Logan County Economic Development Council and the Guthrie and Crescent Chambers of Commerce will host a Republican Candidates Forum at 6:30 pm on Thursday evening,  January 26th at Lucille’s Restaurant in Mulhall.

Four candidates are running in the Republican primary on February 14th for the newly created state Senate District 20.  Senate District 20 now includes all of Logan, Noble and Pawnee counties and all but the southwest corner of Kingfisher  County.

Candidates are Phil Berkenbile of Morrison and  A.J. Griffin, Chris Humphreys, and Wayne Murphey of Guthrie.

The winner of the GOP primary will face the sole Democratic candidate, Magnus Scott, Sr. of Langston in the general election on April 3rd, 2012.

This is an opportunity for citizens to meet the candidates and become familiar with their reasons for running for this Senate seat.  Each candidate will have 10 to 12 minutes to outline their platform, followed by questions from the audience.

Come early and enjoy dinner at Lucille’s before we begin the forum.  Lucille’s opens at 4:00 pm.
