LCSO, OSBI investigate police officer for child pornography possession

An investigation involving a reported police officer has resulted in a charge of child pornography possession.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), began its investigation on August 5, leading to the arrest of Colt Gladding Sr. on August 15.

Gladding, 40, of Coyle, was interviewed at his place of employment at Tinker Air Force Base.

The interview was recorded and investigators say Gladding read his Miranda Warning card out loud. “It should be noted that Colt is (a) Department of Defense police officer and would know these rights as part of his job,” the investigator said in his report.

According to a court document, Gladding admitted to receiving nude photos from the female victim, which he said he kept to blackmail them.

The phone was found to have 54 files. Some of the images showed the victim in the nude along with multiple videos depicting sexual activity, according to investigators.

Gladding was booked into the county jail and formally charged on Tuesday with possession of child pornography.

His bond was set at $150,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court again on September 12.
