Lemke selected as LCSO Dispatcher of the Year

They’re behind the scenes for police and fire, but dispatchers are instrumental for law enforcement and firefighters which allows them to do their job.

Last week across the nation, departments recognized National Telecommunications Week, including the Logan County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO). LCSO held a appreciation lunch for their communications staff.

Lieutenant Troy Dykes personally thanked each and every dispatcher and letting them know how good of a job they do.

Dykes stated he could go on and on about how great and dedicated each dispatcher is. He went on to congratulate Dispatcher Sherria Lemke, who was selected by her co-workers for dispatcher of the year for her outstanding work.

“What an awesome experience this has been,” Lemke said. “Thank you to all the ladies who chose to nominate me. It’s been an honor and a privilege, working with such a fine group of people. Today meant the world. So thank you again for everything!”

Sergeant Brittany Harris and Corporal Marcus Williams both spoke to recognize Lemke and thank all the dispatchers for doing what they do.
