Local athletes selected to play in middle school all-star game

Two Guthrie Junior High basketball players will showcase their talents on Saturday evening in the Super 16 All-Star game.

Seventh grade Ania Morgan and eighth grader Jaylen Chelf will represent Guthrie as they join other middle school athletes from Oklahoma.

The games, which were founded by Sean Love and Santon Jones, will be played in Mustang as they celebrate their third season of hosting the games.

Both founders have ties to Guthrie with Jones being a 1995 Guthrie High School graduate and Love attended elementary school.

The seventh grade girls all-star game is set for 2 p.m. and the eighth grade all-star game at 6:30 p.m.
