Local business owner spreading Christmas joy

Ashley Lynch wanted to do something for the children of Guthrie. A trip to the thrift store and he was on his way.

Lynch, owner of Total Lawn Weed and Pest Control, purchased a Santa Claus suit from a local thrift store, purchased candy canes and handed them out during last year’s Victorian Walk.

In return, Lynch saw the excitement and joy from his young recipients, he decided to increase the Christmas spirit in 2016.

With his red and white suit, Lynch hit the downtown district on Saturday night for the first Victorian Walk. This time he went deeper into his pockets and dished out 250 gifts to the young walkers.

“A man with the biggest heart for giving made lots of little kids so happy,” Tina Duke said.

Guthrie has many traditions during the holidays and it appears Ashley Lynch may have started his own tradition.
