Candidates for Logan County Sheriff settled inside the American Legion Building on Monday evening for a candidate forum. Each candidate gave their goals to help voters decide in the June 28 primary election.
In attendance were Damon R. Devereaux, Robert Hardee, Mike LaNoy, John W. Marshall, Ben McHand, Veronica Thomas and incumbent Jim Bauman.
If a candidate receives more than 50 percent of the vote in the June 28 election they will be declared the winner. If a candidate is unable to achieve 50 percent of the vote, the top two candidates will have a runoff in the August 23 election.
The forum was co-sponsored by the First Capital Republican Women (FCRW) and the Logan County Republican Party. FCRW is an affiliated group of the Oklahoma Federation of Republican Women with the mission of promoting Republican candidates and civic responsibility in the Guthrie and Logan County area.
I like Damon Devereaux , he is a very intelligent and kind person and has been with logan county for awhile . I think if you want someone that knows how to run a law enforcement agency it’s him. He’s fair and knows what he’s doing.
