Logan County Candidate Forum 2016: District 2 County Commissioner

Two of the three candidates for Logan County District 2 County Commissioner settled inside the American Legion Building on Monday evening for a candidate forum. Each candidate gave their goals to help voters decide in the June 28 primary election.

In attendance were incumbent Mike Pearson and Salome Vaughn. Not in attendance was Don Spencer.

If a candidate receives more than 50 percent of the vote in the June 28 election they will be declared the winner. If a candidate is unable to achieve 50 percent of the vote, the top two candidates will have a runoff in the August 23 election.

The forum was co-sponsored by the First Capital Republican Women (FCRW) and the Logan County Republican Party. FCRW is an affiliated group of the Oklahoma Federation of Republican Women with the mission of promoting Republican candidates and civic responsibility in the Guthrie and Logan County area.
