Logan County Health Department to begin COVID-19 testing; drive-through testing

Updated on April 7 — For the mobile testing site on Thursday, you will need to have the symptoms related to the virus in order to receive a test.

The three requirements are coughing, shortness of breath and a minimum fever of 100.4.

Beginning today, the Logan County Health Department will begin testing citizens by physician referral. On Thursday, a drive-through test site will be setup in Guthrie.

Local health officials say if you develop symptoms such as fever, cough, and/or difficulty breathing and have been in close contact with a person known to have COVID-19 or have recently traveled from an area with ongoing spread of COVID-19, stay home and call your healthcare provider.

A doctor will determine if you have signs and symptoms of COVID-19 and whether you should be tested and should notify the Oklahoma State Department of Health Acute Disease Nurse for further guidance.

On Thursday, April 9, Logan County Health Department will conduct a testing drive-through from 10 – 2 p.m.

Residents should access the health department by entering Mineral Wells Park at the north entrance from 2nd Street and drive through the park to enter the Fairgrounds. All other clinical services will be closed on that day.
