The Logan County United Way held their first golf event last week and witness a great turn out.
In total, 13 teams and 52 players made their way to the Guthrie Golf and Country Club for the Logan County Open.
Along with a round of golf, players and volunteers were treated to lunch from the PLP Food truck.
In total, 10 sponsors held make the event possible, including Advantage Inspection Service, BancFirst, Companion Health Services, Environmental Management, Inc., F&M Bank, Interbank, John Vance Motors, Langston University, Mercy Hospital Logan County and OGE Energy Corp.
Event organizers were grateful for the generosity of the Country Club for the hosting the event.
Bragging rights in year one goes to the winning team of Jan Ruhl, Daniel, Jason Ruhl, Kacey Acker, Travis Graham and Joel Rogers.
Second place team members, include Randy Gates and sons Hunter Gates, Casey Gates and Garret Gates.
Phillip Cobb won the closest to the pin challenge.
Perhaps, the highlight of the day came from fellow former Guthrie High School golf and softball stand-out Kacey Acker, who scored her first ever hole in one.
