Morgan claims junior circuit win; Robbins takes fifth

The South Central PGA kicked off their 2016 Junior Circuit on June 2 at the James E. Stewart Junior Championship in Oklahoma City.  Guthrie freshmen-to-be Luke Morgan and Bo Robbins both participated in the boys 14-15 division.

Playing in consecutive pairings, both players opened strong on the front nine, Morgan with a 1-under, 34 and Robbins with a plus-3, 38.

Morgan held the line through the back nine firing an identical 34 to finish as The Medalist with a two-under par 68.  Robbins only let one additional stroke slip on his back nine with a plus 4, 39 to finish fifth overall with 77.

Both players will tee it up again this Thursday at Lakeside Golf Course in Stillwater.

The South Central PGA Junior Tour is the oldest and largest level of junior tournament play in Oklahoma.  Junior Tour events offer one-day individual stoke play competition throughout the summer in Oklahoma, Southern Kansas and Western Arkansas.
