The Logan County District Attorney’s Office witness the swearing-in of the newest member of their prosecuting team on Tuesday.
Emilie Kirkpatrick comes to Logan County as an assistant district attorney after spending nearly nine years with the Oklahoma County Public Defender’s Office. Overall, Kirkpatrick has been a lawyer for 10 years.
While at Oklahoma County, she tried over 125 jury trials for clients facing a variety of crimes. In addition, she handled hundreds of cases each year.
“I can tell you that I’m really excited to be here in Logan County and am already loving my new position,” Kirkpatrick said in an email to Guthrie News Page.
In private practice, Kirkpatrick worked with defense, civil work and family law. In addition, she served as the legal analyst for Oklahoma City television station KFOR.
Kirkpatrick earned a Bachelor’s Degree at Wesleyan University in 2003 and studied law at the University of Oklahoma College of Law.
