An Oklahoma man was found dead in a creek in northwest Logan County on Tuesday morning.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports a 34-year-old man from Billings, Okla. was killed following a vehicle accident.
According to a report, Shawn O’Laughlin was driving a 1989 Dodge Ram on State Highway 51 at 5:30 a.m. when he departed the roadway to the left, hit an embankment, went airborne, hit a culvert and was ejected into a creek.
He was pronounced dead at the scene due to head, arm, leg and trunk internal injuries.
The accident was just west of Rockwell in Crescent.
Troopers say it is unknown if O’Laughlin was wearing a seat belt.
The cause of the accident and condition of the driver is identified as sleepy, according to the crash report.
