Man wanted in Guthrie arrested in Iowa after pursuit; extradited to Logan County

In November, the Guthrie Police Department was searching for a a violent suspect. That suspect was taken into custody after he led police officers in Iowa on a vehicle pursuit.

Guthrie Police alerted the public and asked for assistance on information regarding Anthony Scott White, 31, who was wanted for felony domestic abuse by strangulation.

He was said to be a driving a black Ford Edge with a Massachusetts license plate and considered armed and dangerous.

On Nov. 29, Pottawattamie County (Iowa) authorities were alerted about a suspicious vehicle that eventually resulted in a pursuit and crash.

A 1994 Dodge Ram van was located and after a check of the license plates revealed the plates had been reported stolen off a vehicle in Iowa.

The van eventually wrecked during a pursuit and White was arrested and charged with eluding, reckless driving, and theft in the fifth degree.

White was extradited to the Logan County Jail earlier this month where he faces felony charges, including assault and battery by strangulation, stalking and violation of court.

A judge issued a $100,000 bond and a Feb. 22 court hearing.
