Mercy offering free physicals for Guthrie student-athletes

Sports physicals for all Guthrie Public School sports, including band, will be from 1 -5 p.m. on Thursday, May 12 at the Mercy South Division Clinic.

Mercy will conduct the free physicals for student-athletes in the current grades of sixth thru 11 at no charge.

Physicals are mandatory to participate in any athletic competition.

Parents must fill out the GPS Medical Form and OSSAA Physical Form and Concussion Form paperwork. Forms can also be found at http://www.guthrie.k12.ok.us/Page/71

School officials said the student-athletes can have their private doctor complete the student’s physical, but must have all papers turned in by the time practices begin.

Athletic Director Jon Chappell says bus transportation will be made available for student-athletes during schools hours.
