Mid morning wreck totals two vehicles

Two people were sent to the hospital following a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Division and Sooner on Tuesday morning.

According to eye witnesses, a four-door, white Buick car drove through a red light striking a red 1980 El Camino. Both vehicles suffered major damage and appeared to be have totaled.

The accident occurred just after 9 a.m.

The Buick was north bound on Sooner while the El Camino was south bound on Division.

The driver of the El Camino, Trey Brown, suffered facial damage and took himself to be checked out at the hospital. The driver of the Buick, 82-year-old Joann Sites, was transported to Mercy Hospital Logan County for a non-emergency transport with a hand laceration.
