Guthrie Public Schools recently recognized their Certified and Staff employees of the month. For the month of April, Misty Beauchamp and Annie Chadd were recognized for their efforts.
Beauchamp, the cafeteria manager at Fogarty Elementary, was nominated by Stephanie Anderson for her willingness to help.
“Any time I don’t have the answer I know I can call Misty and she will be more than willing to help with whatever it is,” Anderson said about Beauchamp.
Beauchamp has been with the school district for 15 years.
“Misty is very hard working and dedicated to doing whatever is best for the kids,” Anderson added.
If you have attended Guthrie High School in recent time, its safe to save you know, or have worked with Chadd, who serves as a school counselor.
She was nominated by her counterpart Kristi Blakemore.
“Mrs. Chadd deserves to recognize for her dedication to her job as a counselor, as well as her compassion towards her students,” Blakemore said. “(She) does multiple things behind the scenes that often go unnoticed.”
Chadd serves as a senior and junior counselor and helps students stay on pace for graduation as well as looking toward the future after high school.
Blakemore added, “she has acted as my mentor for the last 10 years and I greatly appreciate everything she has taught me.”
Both recipients were presented with a $25 Sonic gift card from the Lions Club and a plaque.
