Young men in suits on bicycles are synonymous with Mormon Missionaries, but did you know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints also has many senior couples serving missions all over the world?
The Church has many opportunities for senior couples as well as single senior members to serve. Depending on individual circumstance they can serve in their local area, anywhere in the states, or even overseas.
Edmond 3rd Ward has two such couples. Bro. and Sis Jess Larsen recently return home to Oklahoma after completing a mission in Ohio. They shared many experiences from their mission. Bro. and Sis. Robert Cardon are currently serving a mission in Bolivia. Through recent communications they shared an experience with a Bolivia orphanage they are working with to replace much needed playground equipment.
Blessings of serving a Church sponsored mission are not only for the young.
