The Guthrie Public Works, also known as Municipal Services, has moved back into its facility after being displaced for approximately 18 months because of the May 24, 2011 Tornado.
GPWA is in the process of getting operations up and running.
The administrative offices moved on September 6, but it has taken time to get utilities, phones and internet installed. Most of Fleet Maintenance moved back in the following and completed their move on Sept. 17.
“GPWA is excited to be home and look forward in the near future to present the new facility to the citizens of Guthrie,” interim City Manager Wanda Calvert said.
Municipal Services is located at 407 Commerce Blvd. This division is responsible for the support of all departments relating to Municipal Services, which includes incoming calls, radio communications, and reception of citizens, sales persons, and other visitors.
This division manages the tracking program for complaints and daily work orders for eight departments. It promotes and oversees the construction and maintenance of the city’s
infrastructure.
