OHP seeks public’s help in fatal crash investigation

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is asking for the public’s help with the investigation of a collision that took the life of a motorcyclist on Saturday, January 28. The crash happened about 1:00 p.m. on I-35 southbound just north of Wilshire Boulevard in Oklahoma County.

According to witnesses, the motorcyclist was racing with a black Dodge Challenger or Dodge Charger with dark tinted windows and a temporary paper tag. The motorcyclist struck the rear of a third vehicle and was thrown over the cable barrier into the northbound lanes.

Witnesses state that the driver of the Dodge, a black male estimated to be in his mid-20s to 30, pulled to the shoulder and got out of the car wearing dark jeans and a red baseball cap. He looked at the wrecked motorcycle, then got back into his car and sped off without making contact.

The OHP is seeking information from anyone who might have witnessed the incident and/or might be able to identify the driver of the Dodge.  Anyone with information is asked to call 405-425-2137.
