Neighborhood Solutions and proud sponsors has given South Division St. a patriotic look with the Adopt A Flag project. Phase one of two got started on Thursday.
As part of the Old Glory Project, Guthrie Cares, a Neighborhood Solutions program affiliated with Keep Oklahoma Beautiful, placed 10 United States flags on street lights along Guthrie’s busiest road.
Phase two will bring 14 more U.S. flags and will be seen from Harrison St. to the Logan County Fairgrounds.
Their goal is to have Old Glory waving as residents and visitors drive into the historic downtown.
If you would like to donate a flag, at a price of $125, that includes the pole and installation, you can send it to Neighborhood Solutions at 101 N. 2nd in Guthrie (73044).
