“Apothecary Nights”, a down-home Guthrie block party where everybody’s welcome, will be happening this Saturday, October 24, at 2nd and Oklahoma Avenue in downtown Guthrie. This is the fourth and final gathering for this year.
The brain-child of Guthrie resident Justin Fortney, Apothecary Nights brings together food trucks, pop-up booths and crafts, music, face-painting, two featured concerts, a group bike ride (ring around the Temple) and Guthrie Ghost Walk (“where history meets mystery”).
Fortney and friends invite all town and county folks and visitors to enjoy an evening downtown.
“Yeah, I make sure music and food happen, and every month it’s just a matter of what friends are available to do other cool stuff,” Fortney explained. The “Nights” have been enjoyed by many folks who return each time for a great evening of entertainment and fun with friends.
Begins at 6pm, continues all evening.
– 7 p.m. The Russell Family music (Celtic, bluegrass, folk) in the garden (donations welcome)
– 7:15 p.m. and 10 p.m. Guthrie Ghost Walk (rsvp, 90 minute tour $10)
– 8 p.m. Group bike ride, ring around the Temple and back
– 9 p.m. Gabriel Hancock concert (Americana singer/songwriter) upstairs at Apothecary Art House. ($5 donation welcome)
Down-home, downtown Guthrie fun! All are welcome to join in. For more information contact Verla Raines, 519-0800.
