It’s the height of the flu season and a local organization and volunteers will soon be hitting school hallways and classrooms of Guthrie Public Schools with disinfectant wipes as part of Love Week. Now, you can be a part of the action.
“We are on a MISSION to wipe down every school in the district on February 17,” Gregory “Heady” Coleman said.
Heady says GuthrieAmerica will be needing 10 or more people at each school building. Yes, kids can help out too.
“We are wiping down desks, keyboards, door knobs, etc. to help keep our students healthy,” Heady said.
Each person can fill out a form and select which school they would like to help.
Everyone will meet at the school at 9 a.m. and do as much as possible until 11 a.m.
“We are doing this for what we call LOVE WEEK. Partnering with a local non-profit during the week of Valentine. We can do this,” Heady said.
