OSDH reporting one death in Logan County from COVID-19

The Oklahoma State Department of Health reported on Wednesday one person has died from COVID-19 in Logan County.

With the county’s first death, 222 people state wide have died from the virus, according to the latest information released on Thursday.

The online tool does not identify Guthrie or Crescent as the location of the deceased, but possibly located in either the southern or eastern part of the county. Guthrie News Page has reached out to the OSDH for additional information, but so far have not heard back from their office.

Officials with the Logan County Health Department tell Guthrie News Page the death was not reported through their office.

Logan County now has 15 total cases, including five new cases in the past seven days. There are have been nine recoveries, which leaves five active cases in the county.

For the state, the confirmed positive case count rose to 3,618, but with 2,401 recoveries.

The death count reached 222, including five in the last 24 hours, with eight additional deaths reported on Thursday.
