Photos: Winds causing havoc throughout town

With winds gusting up in the upper 50’s on Wednesday, power and utility lines, tree branches and even port potties were not safe.

Highway 105, between Highway 33 and Douglas Blvd. remains shut down as a power pole was pushed over causing a power line to go across the highway. The line snapped around 11 a.m.

A utility line snapped onto Sooner Road at Seward Road.

A porta potty was blown into the middle of Wentz St. between Harrison and Oklahoma Ave. City crews were seen moving the portable restroom off the roadway.

The high winds snapped a branch in the City’s public parking lot – at Harrison Ave. and Division St. – and falling onto three vehicles causing minor damage.

Winds sustained 20-30 mph and 30’s for a good part of the day and gusts up to 52 mph.
