Following CDC guidelines and recommendations, the Pollard Theatre Company announced they will be updating its COVID-19 policies, effective immediately.
In a press release, the Pollard said masks are no longer required inside the theatre or auditorium, and company regulations regarding masks will be left solely to the discretion of the individual.
The release adds that the Center for Disease Control (CDC) reports Logan County is at a low-risk community level for COVID-19, enabling the theatre to temporarily lessen their restrictions for virus prevention.
The Pollard says face coverings will be provided for those who choose to wear them, and hand sanitizing stations made readily accessible. “Vaccinations have been required of our staff, actors, and artists to maintain the safety of our producing company,” a spokesperson said. “Improved ventilation methods, weekly cleaning, and common health precautions are practiced within the building. We still hope to do our part in perpetuating a healthy environment for our community.”
