Students in four classrooms at Fogarty Elementary were relocated to alternate spaces within the Fogarty campus due to difficulties with heating units in some classrooms.
“Late last night, after discussions between Guthrie Fire Chief, Eric Harlow and myself, a temporary alternative heating plan was developed that will be safe for students and staff while meeting State Fire Codes. That plan includes approved portable heating devices that will be placed inside the classrooms,” Superintendent Mike Simpson said in a release.

Simpson says the classrooms were monitored for temperature throughout the day and were needed, more heaters were obtained.
All students are expected to return to their regular classroom tomorrow.
“I want to thank the staff and students of Fogarty Elementary for their flexibility in maintaining the quality educational environment I saw in place today,” Simpson said.
