Residents, businesses lose power

Nearly 2,000 homes and residents were without power on Wednesday afternoon.

The outage affected mostly the east side of town.

OG&E first reported 1,798 customers were without power just after 12 p.m.

Power was restored to the vast majority (1,791 customers) by 12:41 p.m.

OG&E officials tell Guthrie News Page the cause of the outage was due to a cut underground line.
