Senor-to-be Emmanuel Robinson and sophomore-to-be Rosetta Galbraith were named to The Oklahoman’s Big All City first team and All Track team for their accomplishment’s in the 2010 track season.
Guthrie graduates Rachel Roberts, Chaunsey Dumas, and Jason Ogan were also named to the Honorable Mention list.
Robinson, who has helped the Guthrie program to back-to-back 5A state championships, won both the 100 meters and 110 hurdles at this year’s 5A state meet and as a sophomore brought home gold at the 2009 State meet in the 110 hurdles. He was a member of the Jays 4 x 100 state winning relay team that witness the foursome setting a school record with a 41.77 time.
Galbraith came sprinting on the scene as a freshmen and earned first team in the hurdles and made the All Track roster in the 100 hurdles. She finished as the 5A state runner-up in the hurdles.
Ogan, who was instrumental in the Jays Cross Country team winning the 5A state title, was honored in the 1600 meter while Roberts was awarded in the 3200 meter. Ogan will move his talents to Oklahoma Baptist University and Roberts will attend Harding University next fall.
Dumas, who was named to the 200 meter honorable mention list, won several events throughout the year, including the 200 meter state championship and was part of the 4 x 100 relay school record team. He will visit the University of Oklahoma as he prepares to move his talents to the next level.
Chaunsey Dumas was also listed on the Honarable Mention List in the 200 meter in which he won state. Chaunsey will be going on a visit to Oklahoma University on Tuesday.
