Sara Scamman, Kyri Hester named GPS Employees of the Month

The September 2022 Support and Certified Employee of the Month for Guthrie Public Schools are Sara Scamman and Kyri Hester.

Each was presented with a plaque and a Sonic gift card for their recognition.

Sara is September’s Support Employee of the Month, and she was nominated by Lisa Trask.

“Sara is amazing at what she does,” Trask said of Scamman who works in the Junior High office. “There is nothing that she is not willing to help with student, staff, or parent.”

Sara, helped countless families complete their enrollment both online and in person.

“Sara addressed any and all issues that caused enrollments or schedules to be delayed with a smile and the patience of a saint,” Trask added.

Kyri Hester, a teacher at Guthrie High School, is the Certified Employee of the Month was Kyri was nominated by Lori Lucas.

“Kyri is an outstanding educator,” Lucas said of Kyri. “She has shown she will do whatever it takes to make the district better. When others left, Kyri buckled down and worked harder.”
