The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has approved more than $10 million in low-interest disaster loans to help Oklahomans recover from the March 2025 wildfires and straight-line winds. These loans are providing critical assistance to homeowners, renters, businesses, and nonprofits as they work to repair and rebuild.
With the Sept. 20, 2025, deadline quickly approaching, the SBA is reminding homeowners, renters, businesses, nonprofits, small agricultural cooperatives, and nurseries that experienced physical damage to submit their loan applications soon. SBA disaster loans can help cover costs not fully paid by insurance or other aid programs.
In addition, small businesses, agricultural cooperatives, nurseries, and private nonprofits, including faith-based organizations that suffered financial losses as a result of the disaster, have until Feb. 23, 2026, to apply for Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL), even if they did not sustain physical damage.
SBA officials expressed appreciation to Oklahoma residents for their resilience and emphasized the importance of getting applications submitted before the deadlines.
