school suppliesJunior High and High School students do not have specific supply lists.  (See Math note below.)  All students should have notebooks/binders, paper, pencils and pens beginning the first day of class… and EVERY day and class period thereafter.  Teachers will announce additional items that will need to be purchased during the first week of class.

Algebra I students need a calculator — Texas Instruments 30 (TI30) at minimum.  Algebra 2 and above need, at minimum, a TI 30.  However, a TI 83 or 84 is preferred and is helpful on the EOI and ACT exams.  Check online for used models to save money.
Class dues, organization dues, and lab fees can be paid online beginning August 1 or during schedule pick up days.

Enrollment Hours for elementary schools

Enrollment hours for all Guthrie elementary schools will be August 5, 7 and 9 from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Also on August 6 and 8 from noon until 7 p.m.

At these enrollment times, parents will need to provide two proofs of residency, as well as other requested information.

Meet the Teacher will be on Thursday, August 15 from 2 p.m. – 7 p.m.  Teacher assignment will be provided at this time.

Junior High enrollment

Junior High Open House will be on August 19

There will be two sessions available that parents/guardians may choose to attend:
6 p.m. to 7 p.m. or 7:15 pm to 8:15pm

Parents will first meet in the auditorium for greetings and announcements from the Principal and the Assistant Principal. Parents will then follow their student’s schedule, spending a few minutes in each of the classrooms to meet the teachers and obtain information about each class.

High School enrollment

Schedule ick ups and enrollment verification for 10th, 11th, and 12th grades will be August 12 and 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.  In addition, the school will be available from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on August 13 to accommodate working parents. A parent/guardian needs to attend with their student.

Freshman Orientation will be held on August 13 from 1:30 p.m.to 4:30 p.m. in the main gym, and again on August 14 from 9 a.m. to noon.  Students may choose their session — activities will be the same both days.  Parents can complete the enrollment process while their student is in orientation or on August 12. If a complete enrollment packet has been received, students can pick up their schedule during orientation.

Schedules that are not picked up during the hours above can be picked up August 15 and 16 from noon to 3p.m. in the North Office.
