School zone reminders for Walnut St.

Officials want to remind all motorists of the school zone speed limits on Walnut St.

The school zone on Walnut St. begins at Noble Ave. with a posted speed limit of 25 mph.

Walnut St. is one of three main roads, along with Wentz St. and Pine St., used to reach Guthrie High School and Guthrie Upper Elementary School.

The school zone speed limit runs from 7:30 a.m. to 3:40 p.m.

Police officers wants to remind motorists that if the school zone signs do or do not have flashing lights that the speed limit remains in affect during the specified times.
