Logan County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a suspect who pretended to need help then robbed a man at his home on Tuesday.
According to Chief Deputy Rob Groseclose, the victim made a quick trip to a store at Waterloo and Sooner Road and returned to his house in the 7100 block of Blue Ridge Road. He says as soon as he arrived home, a man in a suit and tie approached him and asked for directions. The victim says when he turned to point the way the suspect struck him in the back of the head and knocked him down. The suspect then held the victim down and stole his wallet from his back pocket.
In the statemaent released, the victim’s stolen credit cards were later used at Walmart and Target stores in Logan County. Police obtained surveillance video of the suspect. They’ve released an image to the public with the hope someone will be able to identify him.
The suspect is described as a white male, 6 feet tall and 185 pounds. He had dark hair, a mustache and he may have been left-handed. He was wearing a dark suit with a white shirt and light blue or green tie.
