El Reno (3-0) jumped out to an 18-8 first quarter lead and never looked back to remain perfect on the season with a 57-44 home win.

The Guthrie offense continued to struggle in the second quarter by adding just seven more points and trailed at the break 31-15. The visitors missed out their opportunity in the first half by connecting on just 6-of-14 from the free throw line.

El Reno was able to open the game by drilling five 3-point shots in the first half and saw four players score at least 9 points.

In the second half the offense got going. Leading the charge was guard Micayla Haynes. The sophomore finished with a game high 21 points by taking advantage of several picks from her teammates.

Haynes scored 9 points in the third quarter alone to help Guthrie outscored the 13th ranked Indians 16-11. However, Guthrie could not draw any closer than eight points.

The 14th ranked Guthrie ball club travel to Western Heights on Friday.

Guthrie Scoring: Micayla Haynes 21, Sojo Love 11, Cassidy Jones 8, Aaliyah Allison 2, Kamber Smedley 2
